Electric Autorickshaws launched in Bengaluru

If auto rickshaws in the city are blamed for polluting, here's a simple solution to replace the diesel/gas consuming autos: ElecRic, as the name goes runs on solar power, emits nothing and cost Rs 2 laksh only.

Rickshaws are a part of life across of Asia particularly in India for tourists and locals.
However, the gasoline-powered versions of these  vehicles are rarely environmentally friendly, creating smog and noise.

RJMS-EV, a private company that is into manufacturing of electric vehicle and components has a patent in their name for their innovation in switching a typical auto that runs on gas to a solar-run autorickshaws.

Autorickshaw drivers face demonetisation heat

Autorickshaw drivers in India bore the brunt of demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 denomination notes due to steep decline in sales and passengers.

Autorickshaw drivers felt the heat, as they refused to ferry many passengers due to problem of notes of lower denominations. Very few autorickshaws were lined up outside different metro stations.

Autorickshaw driver Mohammad Wasim said: "We get a number of passengers in evening hours, but today (Wednesday) we had to turn back many persons."

"I have hardly earned Rs 700 today as against about Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,500 daily."

He said most of his friends driving autorickshaws preferred to stay home.

Keeping your vehicle clean is crucial for long-term fitness and value of the vehicle. A clean auto-rickshaw is easier to maintain and less expensive to operate.

Take these few simple cleaning tips that'll help you clean your vehicle correctly:

¤ The AutoRickshaw vehicle should be washed using low-pressure water.
¤ Before cleaning the AutoRickshaw, you must make sure that the ignition switch unit, H.T. Coil and silencer are covered using plastic sheets.
¤ All painted surfaces should be washed only with water.
¤ Do not use any kind of detergent soap, alcohol or fuel on the painted surfaces as it damages the paint.
¤ Take care not to apply water directly on the electrical parts.
¤To clean the engine externally, you can brush it with kerosene and wipe it dry with a clean rag.
¤After washing, dry the vehicle and lubricate it.

Occasionally  water may enter on the brake liners during washing which could lead to brake slippage. Make it a point to dry the liners by braking frequently till the brake starts working effectively.
